This guide walks you through enabling secure login using the Microsoft Authenticator app with number matching and location prompts.
Follow these steps to complete setup for your ARC Health account:
Step 1: Install Microsoft Authenticator
1. Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Search for "Microsoft Authenticator".
3. Download and install the app.
Step 2: Sign in and Start Setup
1. Open an Incognito Window. (Open Google Chrome and click on the three dots on the right and select Incognito. Or You can use the keyboard shortcut of Ctrl+Shift+N.
2. Navigate to www.office.com and log in with your ARC Health credentials.
2. You'll be prompted to secure your account.
3. Click “Next” to begin.
Step 3: Add Your Account in Authenticator
1. Open the Authenticator app.
2. Tap the '+' icon and choose "Work or school account".
3. Scan the QR code shown on your screen.
Step 4: Number Matching Prompt
You will now receive login prompts that show a number on your computer screen.
Enter the matching number into your phone to confirm the login.

Once you match the numbers, you will get this prompt below
Location Verification
You may also see your approximate location on login prompts. This confirms that the sign-in is coming from your area. If you are not trying to sign in, and you are receiving verification requests from random locations, immediately contact your IT Team.

If the instructions above did not work, please try the following:
- Open your sign ins page: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
- Select Add Sign In Method.
- Select Microsoft Authenticator.
- Complete the steps listed to install and set up the Microsoft Authenticator app on your phone.
